The brief
A tall stone wall that looked flat and grey under the original downlights.
Lighting approach
We removed the ceiling grid and grazed the wall from above and below with Line 35 Recessed.
Grazing light at a shallow angle brings out every vein and pore of the travertine.
The only other light is a pair of table lamps, so the evening mood takes one switch.
