A single-storey house where the light carries you from the garden, through the door and into the living room.

- Type
- Private residence
- Scope
- Interior, facade and landscape
The brief
The owners wanted the house to feel welcoming from the street at night without looking like a hotel. Every light had to serve the architecture: plaster, timber and stone.
Lighting approach
Wall lights either side of each opening draw soft scallops on the plaster and mark the entrance.
In the garden, in-ground uplights pick out the olive trees and leave the sky dark.
